Ceri-Anne is a PhD Candidate at Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands, where her research focuses on bifunctional biomaterials for treating bone defects after cancer resection and on developing new bone metastasis models to evaluate these materials. She earned her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a track in Bionanotechnology and Advanced Biomanufacturing from the University of Twente, where her thesis explored molecular crowding in 3D-cultured models. While she found her research deeply rewarding, Ceri-Anne was drawn to a role where she could make a more direct impact on patients’ lives. Through this transition, she discovered a passion for communicating science clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, from lab technicians and peers to field experts and healthcare providers.
