Dr. Ceri-Anne Suurmond is a Medical Science Liaison at Kuros Biosciences, operating in the European territory. She earned her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Twente, where her thesis explored molecular crowding in 3D-cultured models. Her subsequent PhD research, conducted at the Radboudumc in Nijmegen, focused on the development of bifunctional biomaterials for treating bone defects after cancer resection, as well as on the development of new bone metastasis models to evaluate these biomaterials. Although she found her research highly rewarding, Ceri-Anne was drawn to a role where she could make a more direct impact on patients’ lives. This transition led her to discover a passion for communicating science clearly and effectively. In her current role, she combines this passion with her scientific expertise by engaging with healthcare professionals on the science and clinical evidence behind bone graft technologies, helping to support informed decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
