Because Kuros Biosciences, and its affiliates (“Kuros”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to respecting the privacy of our web site visitors, this web site Privacy Policy describes how we may collect, use, and safeguard the personal or behavioral information provided (“Data”) to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Site, platforms, applications, and other websites owned or controlled by us (collectively referred to as the “Services”).  

It also informs you how to contact us with any questions you may have and how to exercise your rights with regard to the Data we collect from or about you.  This policy explains the efforts to balance our business interests in collecting and using the Data we receive from you with your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information that you share with us.

For the purposes of this policy, “Site” refers to the Kuros Biosciences website, which may be accessed at www.kurosbio.com. Each website owned or controlled by Kuros may have its own privacy policy that applies. You should review the privacy policy at each website to understand how it affects information that you provide or is collected at that website.

Personally Identifiable Information

Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address or any other information which might reasonably be used to identify you individually. Kuros collects personally identifiable information from web site visitors only when it is voluntarily provided.  Kuros will not otherwise collect this information from you on our web site.

At those portions of our web site where we provide you with the option to input Personal Information, we notify you of the uses we intend to make of that information in any given instance. When Kuros receives Personal Information, we may use it for reasonable business purposes, just as non-Internet businesses do. For example, we may use this information to contact you, via e-mail or regular mail, to provide you with information we believe may be of interest.

It might also be used for compiling data and analyses to understand and serve our company’s needs. Data is also compiled to evaluate the use and utility of the services we provide on-line. Your information may be transferred for processing and use to Kuros facilities in other countries and regions of the world. Personally identifiable information will not be sold or rented by Kuros unless the user is first notified and expressly consents to such transfer.

Collective/Aggregate Data

We may use our own technologies, or the technologies of Service Providers, to help us gather and process information from you that is not personally identifiable. For example, we might track information about the date and time visitors access our site, the type of web browser they used, and the web site from which they connected to our site. Our web sites collect this information by depositing certain bits of information called “cookies” in a visitor’s computer.

This technology does not collect an individual visitor’s personally identifiable information. Rather, this information is collected in an aggregate form. If Kuros links non personally identifiable information to Personal Information, then Kuros will treat such non personally identifiable information as Personal Information. For the purposes of this Policy, “Service Providers” refers to suppliers, consultants, and contractors, including subcontractors.

We are not responsible and do not accept liability should you disclose your Data to third parties. Additionally, we have not sold Personal Information to third parties, and we do not sell Personal Information to third parties.

Subject to applicable laws, Kuros will offer you the opportunity to choose (opt-out) whether your Data is (a) to be disclosed to a third party, (b) to be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by you, or (c) any targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

As many websites, our Site collects certain Data and stores it in log files. We sometimes collect Data about visitors’ behavior during their visits to our Site to help us provide better Services and to improve the quality of your Site experience. Your Rights Regarding Your Information

You have certain rights when it comes to the handling of your Personal Information. If you wish to exercise any of these Data rights, please contact us at the information provided in the “How to Contact Us” section below. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in compliance with applicable laws. Where appropriate and required, we will transmit the amended information to third parties having access to your Personal Information.

• Right to Access: If you ask us, we will confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information and, if so, provide you with a copy of all Personal Information you are lawfully entitled to receive along with certain other details. If you require additional copies, we may charge a reasonable fee. • Right to Appeal: If your request to exercise one of your rights set forth above is denied, we will provide you with an explanation in a reasonable time, in compliance with applicable laws. If you disagree with our decision, you can appeal the denial by contacting us as detailed in the “How to Contact Us” section at the end of this Policy. We will respond to your appeal in a timely and reasonable manner in compliance with applicable laws.

We may deny your request to exercise any of your Data rights above if any such exercise of those rights might prevent Kuros from:

• Detecting security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
• Debugging products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
• Making other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.

Security

Kuros uses administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that are reasonable and appropriate for the protection of the Data in our custody or control. Measures may include, but are not limited to, the encryption of communications via secure sockets layer (SSL), encryption of information while it is in storage, firewalls, access controls, separation of duties, and similar security protocols. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site or platforms, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

We limit access to your Data to our Group, employees, Service Providers, and others described in this Policy, as applicable, who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that Data to provide our Services or in order to do their jobs. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Retention

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (a) with vendors, consultants and other Service Providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf and who will not use such information for their own purposes; (b) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process; or (c) if the user consents to our sharing of such information. As a resource to our visitors, Kuros may provide links to other web sites. We try to carefully choose web sites, which we believe are useful and meet our high standards for the accuracy and utility of information. However, because web site design and content can change so quickly, we cannot guarantee the standards of every web site to which we link. Likewise, we are not responsible for the content of any non-Kuros site. If you wish to stop receiving any e-mails or other communications from Kuros which may be sent to you in the future based on your request for this information, or if you have submitted personally identifiable information through a Kuros web site and would like to have that information deleted from our records, please notify us via email at privacy@kurosbio.com. Your wishes in these matters will be honored.

Accuracy

Kuros will make every effort to maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of any personal information you supply to us. If you wish to make additions or other corrections to the information that you have provided, please transmit it to us via the contact form on the site.

Security

All information transmitted to this Kuros web site is secure to the extent possible using existing technology. Unauthorized third parties should not be able to access it during transmission. Kuros does not intentionally collect or retain personally identifiable information about children who are younger than 18 years of age.
