Proven Level I human clinical evidence​

Evidence means excellence in bone healing, which is why MagnetOs is proven and supported by a Level I human clinical study.4

In the study, MagnetOs achieved nearly twice the fusion rate of autograft (79% vs. 47%) in posterolateral fusions.4 Among active smokers – who made up 1 in 5 patients – the fusion difference between MagnetOs and autograft was even more dramatic.*¶4,5 ​

NeedleGrip: harnessing the immune system via M2 macrophage polarization†‡1-3,6​,7

The science behind NeedleGrip is called osteoimmunology – a field dedicated to understanding the relationship between the immune system and the skeletal system.6 As the immune system’s ‘first responders’, monocytes react to their environment by differentiating into different cell types.10

M1 pro-inflammatory pathway:
Macrophages polarize to the M1 phenotype, which are pro-inflammatory and promote fibroblast proliferation, often leading to scar tissue.10

M2 pro-healing pathway:
Macrophages polarize to the M2 phenotype, which are pro-healing and upregulate stem cells to create bone.10,11 MagnetOs NeedleGrip surface technology enhances the pathway to M2 macrophages.†6,10
